| FLEXIBILITY |
I see the PACE I Unlimited subscription plan will allow me to earn up to 99.5 PDUs. What I need to do is earn 45 hours to keep my PMP® certification. Can I accomplish this task in just 90 days?
Yes. Your challenge is to complete as many online PDU courses with the available time you have to dedicate to this task. For each PDU that can be earned, you need to budget 1 hour of effort. In your case, budget 45 hours over the next 90 days. Know that each course in the Unlimited plan is between 2-5 hours. Even if you finish each course fast, you will get the pre-determined number of PDUs for each course completed.
We know that you may be lucky to fit an hour into your daily, weekly or monthly schedule. Know that you will be able to effectively balance and manage your time to finish each course since our system remembers where you end each session. This makes it so much easier the next time you login to the training center to find your starting point.
You get the flexibility to complete all courses online in our training center from the computer of your choice - there is no need to travel to a testing center like you may have done to earn the PMP® certification.
Just set a pace that will allow you to earn all the PDU credits by your recertification due date, and our plans will help you accomplish your PDU hours for PMP® recertification.
Can I use more than one computer?
Yes. You can login from any computer that is equipped with internet access, IE 6+ and Java to work through and complete the courses online. |

| OPTIMIZE MY BUDGET |
I only need 30 PDUs to get recertified. Which online PDU course subscription plan is best for me?
If you want, you can subscribe to the PACE I LEADERSHIP plan to earn 32.5 PDUs or the PACE I SIX SIGMA plan to earn 29.5 PDUs. So, you can easily meet your PDU requirement with either of these plans within the 365 days access each one provides.
Now, let's continue the example and tap into your strategic thinking. If you are due for recertification within the next 10 months and need 30 PDUs now, consider the Unlimited plan for 365 days. By subscribing now, you can earn the 30 PDUs needed for the current reporting cycle. Then, earn 20 more PDUs before your current due date AND carry them forward to the next reporting cycle (refer to CCR Handbook from PMI). After PMP® recertification, leverage any remaining time in the subscription plan to earn all the PDUs required for the next reporting cycle. We assume you will continue to be an active project manager and be able to claim the 5 PDUs per year in the next reporting cycle.
THE POINT: Get the UNLIMITED plan to lower your overall maintenance cost and lower average PDU cost if you have more than 30 PDUs to earn. If need up to 20 PDUs, the PACE I Trial plan is by far the most economical. Your CHOICE!
Does my subscription plan automatically renew at the expiration date?
No. If you want to extend your subscription time period, just email customercare@pointadvantage.com and indicate how much more time you want or need. From there, we will send you an extension offer and order/pay link. For example, to extend a PACE I UNLIMITED plan for 90 additional days, the extension amount is $149 (USD). Extension prices vary by Plan type (Unlimited, Leadership, and Six Sigma). The PACE I Trial plan can be extended 90 additional days for $99 (USD). So, whatever you need, we will make a good offer for you! |
|
| NO HIDDEN FEES! |
When I order a subscription plan online now, will there be any separate or hidden fees?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! The subscription price you pay covers online training center access and usage for all courses included in the plan selected and for the time period selected. There are NO separate per course fees charged, NO additional access fees, NO completion certificate issuance fees, and NO additional books to purchase. REALLY!!!
Only if you want a time extension beyond what you originally purchase or a renew to the same plan would any fees apply.
I want to order the PACE I Trial Plan for 90 days. Do I have to pay extra to get the completion certificates?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! Complete any of the 5 courses included in the PACE I Trial plan within 90 days, grab the completion certificates posted in the Completed Courses section of your My Training Panel in the training center, and then go to the PMI® website to claim the PDUs earned. Refer to the Report PDUs menu link in the online training center to identify the steps for reporting PDUs at the PMI® website. |

| ONLINE LEARNING EXPERIENCE |
What type of online format is used to present each course?
All courses drive off a menu driven structure that keeps track of your progress through a course. Courses include content, situational and role-playing scenarios, pre-tests (which are optional and we recommend skipping them), and post-lesson tests. Often, there are anywhere from 3-7 lessons in a single course.
|
|
Is the format like a Web-based CBT where I can start and stop the course as needed?
Yes. The system automatically "bookmarks" where you stop, allowing you to return later without having to remember a specific lesson, slide, or test. Plus, this excellent feature allows you to PACE yourself given there are probably multiple priorities you address every day as a PM.
|
|
What do I need to do to pass each course?
Complete the lessons, any situational or role-playing exercises, post-lesson tests, and achieve a course score of 70% or better.
|
|
Do I need to answer a percentage of questions correctly at the end of each course in order to pass?
The 70% passing score for the entire course is what is needed to earn a completion certificate. Post-lesson tests within a course can contain 5-20 questions. All post-lesson tests are required as part of course completion determination. The course score is a combination of going through the content portion of the course and the post-lesson tests.
|
|
If I fail a course can I immediately go back and answer the questions again or do I need to repeat the entire 2 to 5 hour course?
Simply retake tests until you move the course score over 70%. There is no need to go through everything again.
|
|
How do you know when I have successfully completed a course?
Our system is automatically updated when courses are completed, and we have reporting tools to analyze completion statistics for all users in the system.
|
|
When and how do I receive the certificate of completion after I pass a course?
Upon completing a course successfully, you will go to MY TRAINING PANEL and then the COMPLETED COURSES section. In the ACTIONS column, the first icon that appears below can be clicked on to grab the completion certificate. There, you will be able to view and print your completion certificate which automatically generated when you reached the successful completion point. Additional instructions on how to properly claim the PDUs within minutes at the PMI® website is also posted in the Report PDUs menu link in the online training center.

| MEDIA FORMAT & BROWSER COMPATIBILITY |
Are the courses included in the PACE I online PDU course series available on CD?
All of the courses in this series are ONLY available for playing and tracking properly in an IE 6 or higher browser (in combination with Java).
Which Internet Browsers can I use and which ones, if any, will be supported in the near future?
- Internet Explorer 6
- Internet Explorer 7
- Internet Explorer 8 (Recommended IE version)
- Firefox 3.6 (includes MAC users)
- Chrome 4
- Safari 4 is NOT SUPPORTED currently (4Q 2010): email us if you are willing to wait for a great deal!
What are settings I may need to check in my Browser for courses to play properly?
Secure Mode
What other software may I need to play the courses?
We highly recommend that you download and install the latest version of Java from www.java.com. A computer restart is MANDATORY after installing the latest version. Plus, if you ever get a message that says "Please Wait" for minutes on-end when you click on a link to play a course, 99% of the time this means that there is a newer version of Java which has impacted how some of the courses may load to your browser and play. So, a quick remedy is to go get the latest version of Java and restart your computer. |

| COURSE CATALOG |
I am having trouble getting the online course catalog to display in my internet browser. It looks like a PDF file is supposed to appear, but all I get is a blank screen.
If you are using IE 8 on Windows 7, we have seen this happen. Go to Tools > Compatability View Settings and add pointadvantage.com. Click Refresh or F5 and click on the link or image you did the first time, and you should see the course catalog now. |
